Comfort Inn Ottawa Starved Rock Area

Exceptionally clean. Extra touches everywhere- attractive flower pots blooming by the entrance, pleasant smells throughout. Lovely warm pool & hot tub had relaxing music playing & we were thrilled to have it open 'til midnight and all to ourselves! Walking distance to 24/7 Walmart (hubby forgot his bathing suit) and a few restaurants. August special: make your own pancakes at night. Downtown area is worth a visit- historical square very well maintained with many flower beds & markers to explain Douglas/Lincoln debate. We actually walked there from hotel (guessing 2 1/2 mi.) got back 1/2 hr. after breakfast but they let us partake with the waitstaff. Pancakes, waffles, cereal, omelets, bananas, coffeecake juices. all in all great value for the money.

Good location

Smell of smoke upon entering and in hallway. Hole in bed skirt. No soap dish. Slice of pizza on elevator floor and fries on floor in front of elevator on our floor-fries still there in the morning mashed up. Tension on door very tight and constant slamming of doors in the hall.

We had a very pleasant night stay , very nice hotel , and little town . We will stay there again , if we visit Ottawa in the future .

Pet friendliness and the staff was very personable and competent. Breakfast was better than most.

Our room could have used an updating... Do not like the smaller vanity... Hard to adjust the room temp...curtains were absorbing most of the air...

The room was clean and well-maintained. I appreciated the hot tub with a nice way to unwind after a long day of meetings. The staff was friendly and helpful. The business center was very useful, allowing me to finalize my presentation effectively.

We liked the man behind the desk because he was very pleasant and helpful and he is a Hawks fan. We liked everything about your hotel and would stay there again. We came for a wedding . We live 2 nd a half hours from Streator so we needed an overnighter. It was just what we expected from Holiday inn.

The low budget hotel was wonderful! Nice and welcoming staff as I wanted. Spacious and absolutely perfect room with a microwave and a fridge and microwave, for example, I had everything needed. The service was excellent, including a nice hot and absolutely fantastic breakfast with cinnamon rolls and also sausage.

It was fairly clean place, staff were very welcoming and polite, and I loved my brand-new room...

The room had a comfy king bed, and the staff were very friendly. The shower lacked accessibility features for seniors. Great location, close to an Irish pub.

Great Stay with Friendly Staff!

Had a comfortable night in a cozy room. The staff were cute and responsive, addressing all our needs. Enjoyed the complimentary coffee maker in the room. For dog owners, there's ample outdoor space, but keep an eye out for cigarette butts. Pro tip, ask for a room away from the breakfast area for peace!
